Print types explained
Premium Lustre Paper is a semi-shiny, slightly pebbled-textured photo paper that combines the durability and softness of matte paper with the shine and contrast of glossy paper. It provides a very professional look with excellent color and detail without reflecting too much light.
Advantages of Lustre Paper for Photo Tile Prints
-
Its semi-reflective surface makes it a versatile paper for many purposes.
-
Since it doesn’t reflect that much light, you can hang it on a wall and see it from different angles without any distracting glare— perfect for galleries and decorative prints!
-
It provides smooth and accurate skin tones for portraits.
-
It’s more resistant to fingerprints, blemishes, and scratches.
-
It looks professional.
Disadvantages of Lustre Paper for Photo Prints
-
It loses a bit of contrast and sharpness due to its pebbled texture.
-
The colors don’t ‘pop out’ as much as with a glossy finish.
Glossy Photo paper is a popular type of photographic paper with a shiny and smooth coating, giving your prints a reflective, almost glass-like finish. It’s the typical photo paper used to print your family photos in a regular lab.
Advantages of Glossy Paper for Photo Tile Prints
-
It provides crisp, striking images with high contrast.
-
It delivers vibrant colors, bright highlights, and intense blacks.
-
It has a smooth surface that preserves and enhances all the details of the photo.
Disadvantages of Glossy Paper for Photo Tile Prints
-
Can reflect a large amount of light and can be difficult to see from some angles depending on the light source in the room.
-
It’s prone to hold fingerprints and marks.
Glossy photo paper with Lamination combines the Glossy photo paper with a clear glossy lamination film.
Adding lamination to the Glossy photo paper ads UV protection to your photo tile and added resistance to scratches and fingerprints.

Image sizes and upload
What pictures should I use for my product?
We recommend that you upload the original version of the picture.
If you have taken this picture with your device, you'll find this in your device's Gallery.
If the picture was taken by another device than the one that you're using to upload and order, we recommend to transfer the image to the device in its original size and format.
What images to avoid using?
Social media and chat apps will lower the quality of an images when sent.
We recommend where possible to avoid using images taken from Social Media, received via chat messages like Messenger or WhatsApp. Please reach out to the person who took the picture and ask them to send you a copy of the picture in it's original quality.
The best option is to send it via email and select Original Size when sending.
We also recommend to avoid using screenshots of pictures as these would be low quality as well.
Our website will not allow the upload of images with resolution lower than 500x500px, anything below this would be considered too low in quality to achieve a good print.
An image of 500x500px would be on the lower quality side, we recommend using resolutions as high as possible.
Can I edit my images before placing the order?
In the process of uploading images you will have the options to Crop an image to the desired content, add Filters such as turning images to Black and White, Sepia and many more and even to Fine Tune the brightness, contract and many more features. Hanging your photo tiles
How do you hang the Photo Tiles onto the wall?
We offer 2 options to hang your photo tiles, and neither involve the use of any tools. You can choose your preferred option at checkout.
1. Sticky Nano Gel Pad -with this option you will stick your tiles onto the wall. Provided that your wall has a good quality finish and you use the removal method indicated on the back of the tile, you will be able to remove this without damage to the tile or the wall and re-stick approximately 5-10 times. You can order extra Stick pads at check out.
2. Magnetic fixing option consists of a metal part on the tile and a magnetic part sticked onto your wall. This is very handy in case you would like to move tiles around and for finer adjustments in angle.
Do read the leaflet that comes with your order to see the best use for each method.
Where can I stick the Photo Tiles?
The Nano Gel and Magnetic fix will offer an excellent grip to any smooth surface like tiles, glass, wall, polished wood or similar materials and in the same time it will come off without damaging the wall, providing your wall has a good quality finish.
Where to avoid sticking Photo Tiles?
The Nano gel will not perform well on peeling walls, powder walls, rough, porous surfaces and we discourage the use on wallpapers as it might remove it.
Avoid sticking the tiles in the close vicinity of heat sources like radiators, in damp or high moisture environments such as bathrooms or cooling appliances
Can I place the Photo Tiles in direct sunlight?
Although the inks are resistant to bright lights, we do not recommend placing these in direct sunlight as they could fade in time.
We use pigment ink technology in our printing process and these are UV resistant. For added UV resistance you can choose the Glossy with lamination print style.
